The purpose of this EEO Public File Report is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC's 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following station(s): KMSO, Missoula, Montana, and has been placed in the public inspection files of this station, and posted on their website.
The information in this report covers the time period beginning December 2, 2006 to and including November 30, 2007.
The FCC's 2002 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following information:
- A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Station(s) comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period;
- For each such vacancy, the recruitment sources(s) utilized to fill the vacancy (including, if applicable, organizations entitled to notification pursuant to Section 73.2080(c) (1)(ii) of the new EEO Rule, which should be separately identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number;
- The recruitment source that referred the hiree for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable period;
- Data reflecting the total number of persons interviewed for full-time vacancies during the Applicable Period and the total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and
- A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to Section 73.2080(c) (2) of the FCC rules.
Sections 1, 2 and 3 which follow have been designed, in the aggregate, to provide the required information. Please note that the numbers listed on Section 2 under the column entitled "Full time positions for which this source was utilized" refer to the number of full-time job positions listed on Section 1.

Section 3: Supplemental (non-vacancy specific) recruitment activities undertaken by station KMSO.
- a) KMSO was a participant and major sponsor/organizer of the largest career fair in Missoula, in coordination with the Missoula Job Service, the Job Service Employers Committee in April 2007, and provided Live Remote broadcasts informing the listening public about the Job Fair.
- b) KMSO was a major sponsor and participant in the Student Assistance Foundation's "College Goal Sunday" In January 2007. "College Goal Sunday" provided prospective college and technical school students assistance in researching career information on the state D.O.L.I. website and completing enrollment applications for financial assistance. College Goal Sunday includes a specific outreach for minority and disadvantages students. KMSO also helped sponsor a $500 scholarship given away at the event. KMSO provided the Student Assistance Foundation with a booth at the annual "Kid's Fair" in March 2007.
- c) KMSO is a major sponsor of and assisted Southgate Mall with their "Teen Leadership Board" by making a presentation and helping interview applicants. KMSO promoted the Team Leadership program on-air during February 2006.
- d) KMSO provides airtime to promote the Montana Broadcasters Association broadcasting career scholarship program and provides potential applicants with written information about broadcasting careers and available financial resources.
- e) KMSO provided a sponsorship that helped members of the Sentinel High School DECA attend the 2007 DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, GA. KMSO General Manager also made a presentation to the Sentinel DECA group about advertising, radio advertising and careers in radio broadcasting sales.
- f) KMSO Sales Representative participated in the Montana Broadcaster's Association selection of the MBA scholarship recipient in April 2007.
